ARCHITECTURAL FURNITURE

This exhibition, the result of a collaboration between Joselo Maderista and various Mexican studios, mostly from Guadalajara, reveals the way Joselo and his studio operate. Despite working in the fields of furniture design and art, they have a logic, references, and architectural concerns. We can thus interpret the modus operandi of each of the practices invited participate in the forms and programs they chose for their furniture: sobriety and weight, techtonics and lightness, simplicity, the exploration of geometric forms and construction techniques, some assembly specifications, obvious references, textures, colors, and the proposed use, whose freedom was part of the project, echoing the larger-scale architectures of each of the invited artists.
