Jorge Alberto Muñoz

Jorge Alberto Muñoz graduated in 2012 with a degree in Architecture from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, participating in an exchange program with The University of Melbourne, Australia. He later graduated with honors with a Master of Architecture from Cornell University in New York, United States, where he also served as an adjunct professor. From 2011 to 2016, he collaborated with Luis Aldrete's architectural studio in Guadalajara. Since 2018, he has been a professor at the ITESM Guadalajara Campus and directs the JAM Arquitectura studio, which focuses on emphasizing the inherent appeal of spaces in a rational quest for simplification, appreciation for materials and the handmade, in search of the authentic and the timeless, the imperfect and tradition. In 2021, he founded and directs ForA, a non-profit cultural center dedicated to the critical analysis of architecture.
