SALVADOR MACIAS
An architect with honorary degrees from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) in 2001, he holds a Master's degree in Design Theory and Practice from the Barcelona School of Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). He is a member of the Guadalajara Chapter of the National Academy of Architecture. He is a founding partner of Estudio Macías Peredo. He is a member of the Luis Barragán Foundation for Architecture in Guadalajara, and the founding director of the Jardín 17 architectural space at the Luis Barragán House in Mexico City. His work has been exhibited at institutions such as the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, the Cabañas Cultural Institute in Guadalajara, the Technical University of Lisbon in Portugal, the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) College of Architecture in Chicago, Mantua in Italy, Venice in Italy, and the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco. He has received two silver medals from the Jalisco Academy of Architecture and several honorable mentions for his built work, including the 2018 Cemex Award.
